A graduate of Stuyvesant High School (NYC) and Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (Troy, NY), Mr. Logalbo received graduate degrees from the John Fitzgerald Kennedy School of Government at Harvard and the Krannert School of Management at Purdue University. Mr. Logalbo served as the Director of Finance for the town of Concord, Massachusetts from 1980 until his retirement in 2016. He previously served as Director of Administrative Services for the Massachusetts Municipal Association and Assistant Director of Finance for the City of Oakland, California. Mr. Logalbo is a past president of the Massachusetts chapter of the American Society for Public Administration, and served as president and as a member of the Legislative Committee of the Massachusetts Collectors and Treasurers Association.
Kevin is local educator, musician & arts advocate. His work began in Newton through his founding of the West Suburban YMCA Center for the Creative Arts. He now teaches in the jazz programs at both Day Middle School and Newton North High School. He is driven by his passion for mentorship, arts education and community organizing.
Karen Manning grew up in Middletown, CT and earned a psychology degree from Kenyon College before moving to Chicago in the 90’s. While in Chicago, she worked in product and project management for the Bank of Montreal and several smaller firms and earned an M.B.A. from the Kellstadt Graduate School of Business at DePaul University. She and her husband moved to Newton in 2004. Their two teenage daughters are Newton Public Schools students currently attending Newton North. Community involvement has become a main focus and priority for Karen. She was elected to the Newton Charter Commission in 2015 and is also a director with the League of Women Voters Newton and an ex officio member of the Newton PTO Council. She is enthusiastic about working with the others on the Harmony Board to strengthen the Foundation’s partnerships, outreach and programming.
